World of Warcraft - How to Kill Maiden of Virtue - The Third Boss in Karazhan
Maiden of Virtue is the third boss in Karazhan and is an optional boss; you do not need to kill her to progress further into Karazhan. This essay will discuss how to defeat her.
For those that have never been to Karazhan, the instance is located at the southern end of Deadwind Pass. This zone sits between Duskwood and Swamp of Sorrows. When you enter Deadwind Pass from Duskwood, take your first right and follow the road south until you reach Karazhan. If you are entering from the Swamp of Sorrows side, you will need to make your first left and follow the road south until you reach Karazhan.
Maiden of Virtue has four abilities worth noting:
Holy Ground - She will continuously cast AOE waves that will spread out from her throughout the entire fight. These waves do minimal damage to their targets. However, if you get hit by them, they will silence you for approximately two seconds. For this reason, your tank should keep her in the middle of the dark gray area. The rest of the raid members should stand directly on top of either of the two dark gray steps leading up to the center area and they will easily avoid getting hit by this constant AOE.
Holy Fire - Random DOT that inflicts around 3,000 points of damage initially and an additional 2,000 every 2 seconds. This must be dispelled immediately. Holy Fire is the most dangerous of her abilities and needs to be removed as quickly as possible. For this reason, it's usually best to assign one full-time healer to remove this DOT.
Holy Wrath - AOE, instant-cast chain spell. The damage from this spell increases with each target that it jumps to. Everyone must stay clear of Maiden except your tank for the duration of the encounter. It is advisable not to have any melee DPS for this fight; all-ranged players is the easiest way to defeat her.
Repentance - Stuns all players for 10-12 seconds or until they take damage. When she casts Repentance, she will stun the entire raid. Since your tank will take almost immediate damage from Holy Ground, your tank will break free from Repentance and can resume tanking.
Primary roles:
Paladin - full time removal of Holy Fire. This DOT must be removed from party members as quickly as possible as it does a lot of damage. Your paladin should also keep Blessing of Sacrifice on the main tank at all times. When Maiden casts Repentance, your paladin will take damage along with your tank (from Blessing of Sacrifice) and they will both break from the stun. The paladin then assumes the role of primary healer for your tank while the rest of the party waits for the Repentance stun to wear off. If your paladin fails to break free from repentance, he or she must bubble and heal the main tank. You can only do this once, of course, so Blessing of Sacrifice must be kept on the tank at all times. Without Blessing of Sacrifice, she is extremely difficult to defeat.
Priests/Druids - must keep HOTS on the main tank at all times along with healing the rest of the party throughout the fight. Additionally, priests should create a one-click macro to target maiden and cast PAIN onto her (this extra DOT will help with the overall damage done to her).

Do you not believe you can have what you want? Well, beliefs arent facts, and the truth is that you can have what you want, but whether or not you will have what you want is dependent (probably) on many factors. And the single most important and influential factor is you, yourself, and no-one else.
The subtitle to this book is Proven Strategies for Inner and Outer Success and Michael Neil's mission is to help the reader create a life that makes them go wow!. It does this by helping us to get clear on what wed really like (for ourselves, rather than for others), to understand how we get in our own way, and how to stop doing that. Reading this book will help you to wake up to what you really, really want. An exercise in one of the early chapters resulted in me setting a wow goal for next year that took me completely by surprise and made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck.
It wasnt that I was not aware of that desire, it was just that I was postponing it until I was ready for it at some future date. Hey, and Im the one who constantly reminds her clients that the secret to living the life of your dreams is to start doing so now, as now is all we really have! But Im only human, and I was sabotaging myself until Michael Neil woke me up to my strong desire to do this now, not later!

A Look At The World of Warcraft Character The Trolls
Formerly at home in the jungles of Stranglethron Vale, the fierce trolls of the Darkspear tribe were forced out by fighting factions, now part of the Horde along with the Orcs, Tauren and Undead. As part of the Horde, the Trolls have stretched their loyalty to the mighty Tauren, but they have less trust for the manipulative Forsaken, whom they think will bring only suffering and discord upon their allies.
Their alliance with Horde started through an encounter with the Orc Warchief Thrall who saved this band of Trolls, the Darkspear tribe, from the Murlocs. In debt to the mighty Thrall, the leader of the Trolls, Shadow Hunter Vol'jin of the Darkspear Trolls had sworn his allegiance to the Horde.
When they arrived at the shores of distant Kalimdor, the Horde met a series of challenges which led them to the Battle of Moutn Hyjal. There, the trolls under their new chief, Vol'jin, fought alongside the orcs against the Burning Legion. After the battle, the weary Horde was faced with one last challenge. Together, they carved out a new nation where they could attempt to find their place in the greater scheme of things. The Darkspear trolls settled in southern Durotar and the Echo Isles.
Allied with the Orcs, the Troll shares the same homeland of Durotar with its hot rugged hills, grassland and mountains on the east coast of Kalimdor. Their city of Orgrimmar, named after Thrall's mentor Orgrim Doomhammer, is also shared with the Orcs and is situated in a rugged jagged mountain valley. Orgrimmar is an impressive sight and has been constructed by Thrall to show the might of the Orcs and their allies.
While the trolls may be known for their hunting skills, they also dabble in the darker side of the magical arts which includes voodoo, dark spiritualism and blood magic. This makes this race well rounded in many skills as shown by the variety of classes available to this race.
The trolls are also one of the few races that have 6 classes that you can choose from: Mage, Priest, Hunter, Rogue, Warrior and Shaman. Their home city is Ogrimmar and starts the game at Durotar. They Mount Raptors and Wyverns and have the following racial traits:
Berserking (active) - Increases your melee, ranged, and casting speed by 10% to 30%. The value scales upwards towards 30% depending how low your health is when you activate the ability. Requires a small amount of mana, rage, or energy (depending on your class) to activate. Does not require being struck by a critical to activate. Lasts 10 seconds with 3 minute cooldown but no global cooldown.
Regeneration (passive) - Increase health regeneration bonus by 10%. 10% active in combat.
Beast Slaying (passive) - Increase damage bonus to Beasts by 5%.
Throwing & Bow Weapon Specialization (passive) - Increase Throwing Weapon skill by +5 and +5 to Bows.

How to Get Permission to Quote Someone in Your Book

As a compiler of a book of quotations, I sometimes get questions like, "How do I get permission to quote someone in a book?" or "What do the copyright laws say about quoting someone?"
Here are a few things I learned while researching the subject for myself.
To start, if you want to quote someone, you need to get permission from the author or publisher. Consider it to be a necessary step in writing your book.
How do you go about doing it? I sometimes had success with sending the author/publisher a faxed agreement and having them fax back a signed copy. Other times they preferred to just send a quick email saying it's ok, as long as I agreed to provide a "by-line" in the back of the book.
Let me say this: it is hard getting "permissions". If you only have 1 or 2 to go after, it isn't too tough. But in my case, with a book of quotes, wow...it was difficult.
Copyright law in this area is called "Fair Use". Fair Use says that you can copy someone without permission if it's for educational purposes or if they've been dead for over 50 years. Keep in mind that these two points aren't exactly 100% fool-proof. You can still get in trouble.
In my case, at a late stage in the publishing process, I decided to re-compile my whole book using quotes from people all dead over 50 years. This was a bummer, since I had my heart set on a few really good quotations. Why did I re-compile the whole book? Because it just became way too hard to track down so many "live" authors.
